How to Customize Your Smart Lighting Colors

Master your home environment by learning how to customize and save smart lighting colors using the Hue app on iOS and Android.

1. Open the lighting control dashboard. Launch your lighting manufacturer's app from the home screen. Navigate to the Room or Zone tab to view the active state of your connected devices.
2. Select a specific light or light group. Tap the name of the specific bulb or fixture you wish to modify. This will open the individual color wheel interface for that device.
3. Adjust color and intensity. Drag your finger across the color wheel to select your desired hue. Use the brightness slider located directly below or beside the color picker to set the intensity of the light.
4. Fine-tune color temperature. Switch to the Temperature tab if you require precise Kelvin adjustments. Slide toward the left for cooler, blue-toned light or toward the right for warmer, amber-toned light.
5. Save your custom color preset. Locate the Save or Create Preset button within the current menu. Assign a descriptive name to your new color configuration to ensure easy retrieval in future scenes.
