How to Customize the Control Center on macOS
Learn how to add, remove, and reorganize modules in your Mac Control Center to streamline your workflow and system settings access.
- Open System Settings. Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen. Select System Settings from the dropdown menu to open the preference panel.
- Select Control Center. In the sidebar of the System Settings window, scroll down until you reach the Control Center section. Click the Control Center entry to display the configuration menu.
- Toggle Module Visibility. Review the list of available modules such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Screen Mirroring. Use the dropdown menus next to each module to choose between 'Show in Control Center', 'Show in Menu Bar', or 'Don't Show'.
- Add Accessibility Modules. Scroll to the 'Other Modules' section at the bottom of the page. Here you can add specialized tools like Hearing, Accessibility Shortcuts, or Fast User Switching to your layout.
- Test the Changes. Click the Control Center icon located in the top-right corner of your menu bar. Confirm that your selected modules appear as expected and are fully functional.
