How to Share Your Screen During a FaceTime Call

Learn how to use SharePlay to broadcast your iPhone screen to others during a FaceTime call. Follow these steps for seamless collaboration.

  1. Start your FaceTime call. Open the FaceTime app on your iPhone. Tap New FaceTime, select your contact, and tap the FaceTime button to initiate the audio or video call.
  2. Open the call controls. Once the call is connected, tap the center of your screen to reveal the FaceTime interface. Look for the control bar located at the top or bottom of the screen.
  3. Activate SharePlay. Tap the Screen Share icon, which appears as a rectangular frame with a person in front of it. A small menu will expand from the icon.
  4. Start broadcasting. Select Share My Screen from the menu options. A three-second countdown will appear on the screen before the broadcast begins.
  5. Navigate your device. Your participants can now see everything on your display. Swipe to navigate through apps, browse websites, or demonstrate specific tasks.
  6. End the screen share. To stop sharing, tap the purple Screen Share icon at the top of your screen. Select Stop Sharing from the menu to disconnect the feed while staying in the FaceTime call.
