How to Customize iPhone Haptic Feedback
Learn how to precisely calibrate your iPhone haptics. Adjust vibration intensity and system feedback settings to suit your personal preference.
- Open Sounds & Haptics. Unlock your iPhone and navigate to the Settings app. Scroll down and select the Sounds & Haptics menu to access vibration and auditory configuration settings.
- Set Haptic Playback Modes. Select Haptics to define when your device vibrates. Choose between Always Play, Play in Silent Mode, Don't Play in Silent Mode, or Never Play to establish your baseline haptic behavior.
- Define Ringtone and Alert Vibrations. Tap Ringtone, then select Haptics at the top of the list. Choose from the standard list of vibration patterns or select Create New Vibration to record a custom tactile rhythm.
- Manage Keyboard Feedback. Return to the main Sounds & Haptics menu and select Keyboard Feedback. Toggle Haptic to the On position to enable physical-feeling feedback while typing on the software keyboard.
- Test System Haptics. Navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Touch. Select Vibration to toggle the master switch for all vibrations, including emergency alerts and system haptics.
