How to Create and Manage Multiple iPhone Lock Screens

Master iOS Lock Screen customization. Learn how to create, save, and switch between multiple Lock Screen designs on your iPhone effortlessly.

  1. Enter the Lock Screen gallery. Lock your iPhone and wake the screen. Press and hold your finger on the Lock Screen until the current display zooms out, revealing the gallery view.
  2. Add a new Lock Screen. Swipe left through your existing Lock Screens until you reach the end of the gallery. Tap the blue plus (+) icon or the 'Add New' button to initialize the wallpaper picker.
  3. Configure your new display. Select a category such as Photos, Emoji, or Astronomy to set your wallpaper. Once chosen, tap the time display to change the font style and color, and tap the widget frames to add or remove app information.
  4. Save the Lock Screen. Tap the 'Add' button in the top right corner once you are satisfied with the design. Choose 'Set as Wallpaper Pair' to apply the same theme to your Home Screen, or select 'Customize Home Screen' to apply a separate background.
  5. Switch or delete Lock Screens. To switch screens, long-press the Lock Screen and swipe left or right to select your preferred design. To delete a screen, long-press it, swipe up on the thumbnail, and tap the red trash icon.
