Optimizing iPhone Display for Better Readability

Enhance text legibility on your iPhone by adjusting font sizes, enabling bold text, and fine-tuning display contrast settings.

  1. Increase system font size. Open the Settings app and navigate to Display & Brightness. Tap Text Size and drag the slider to the right to increase the font scale for supported apps.
  2. Enable Bold Text. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness. Toggle the Bold Text switch to On. Your iPhone will restart the springboard to apply this change to all system fonts.
  3. Increase display contrast. Navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size. Toggle Increase Contrast to On to improve the visual separation between text and backgrounds.
  4. Enable Differentiate Without Color. In the Display & Text Size menu, toggle Differentiate Without Color to On. This replaces interface elements that rely solely on color with shapes and text labels.
  5. Activate Per-App Settings. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Per-App Settings. Tap Add App, select your desired application, tap the entry, and choose Larger Text or Bold Text to customize specific app readability without affecting the entire system.
