How to Create and Manage Shared iCloud Albums
Learn to create, manage, and share iCloud Shared Albums on your iPhone. Collaborate and sync high-quality photos effortlessly with friends and family.
- Enable Shared Albums in System Settings. Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Tap your Apple ID name at the top, select iCloud, tap Photos, and ensure the Shared Albums toggle is set to ON.
- Create the new shared album. Open the Photos app and navigate to the Albums tab. Tap the plus (+) icon in the top left corner and select New Shared Album from the menu.
- Name the album and add contacts. Type a descriptive name for your album in the provided field. In the To field, type the names or email addresses of the people you want to invite, then tap Create.
- Add photos to the shared stream. Open your new empty album and tap the plus (+) button. Select the photos or videos you wish to share from your library, then tap Add.
- Manage subscriber permissions. Tap the People icon at the top of the album page. Toggle Subscribers Can Post to ON if you wish to allow invited guests to upload their own images to the album.
- Monitor album activity. Use the Activity tab within the album to view comments, likes, and new additions from collaborators. To remove the album, tap the People icon and select Delete Shared Album.
