How to Create a Personalized Contact Poster on iPhone

Learn how to customize your Contact Poster in iOS 17 and later to control how your identity appears on other iPhones when you call.

  1. Open your personal contact card. Launch the Contacts app from your Home Screen or via the Phone app. Tap the My Card entry located at the very top of the list to access your personal profile information.
  2. Initiate the Contact Poster editor. Select Contact Photo & Poster from the top of your card. Tap Edit on your current poster view, then swipe right to the end and tap the blue plus icon to create a new entry.
  3. Select your source medium. Choose between Camera, Photos, Memoji, or Monogram to begin your design. Selecting Photos allows you to browse your existing library, while Memoji provides a customizable 3D avatar.
  4. Adjust your visual elements. Pinch to zoom and drag your image to frame it correctly. Swipe left or right to cycle through style filters, which automatically adjust color gradients and depth effects based on your photo.
  5. Style your name typography. Tap your name on the screen to open the font editor. Select from the available typeface styles, adjust the weight using the slider, and pick a color that complements your image.
  6. Save and share your poster. Tap Done in the top right corner, then tap Continue on the preview screen. Ensure Name & Photo Sharing is toggled to On to allow your contacts to receive updates to your poster.
