How to view and manage trusted phone numbers on iPhone
A precise guide to viewing, adding, and removing trusted phone numbers associated with your Apple ID for two-factor authentication security.
- Open your Apple ID settings. Launch the Settings app from your Home Screen. Tap on your name banner located at the very top of the menu to access your Apple ID profile.
- Access Sign-In & Security. Locate and tap the Sign-In & Security menu option. You may be prompted to enter your device passcode to proceed.
- Identify trusted phone numbers. Look for the Two-Factor Authentication section. Here you will see a list of verified phone numbers that receive security codes when you sign in on a new device.
- Add a new trusted number. Tap the Edit button located near the top right of the Two-Factor Authentication list. Select Add a Trusted Phone Number, enter the number, and choose to verify via text message or phone call.
- Delete outdated numbers. If you no longer use a number, tap the red minus icon next to the entry while in Edit mode. Confirm the deletion by tapping Remove.
