How to Transfer Data from Android to iPhone

Migrate your contacts, photos, and messages from Android to a new iPhone seamlessly using the Move to iOS app. Follow our step-by-step guide.

  1. Power and Prepare Devices. Plug both your Android and iPhone into a power source to ensure they do not power off during the migration. Connect your Android device to a stable Wi-Fi network and confirm Bluetooth is enabled.
  2. Download Move to iOS. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device. Search for the Move to iOS application and install it on the device.
  3. Start iPhone Setup. Power on your iPhone to begin the Hello screen sequence. Follow the on-screen prompts until you reach the Apps & Data screen.
  4. Select Migration Option. On the Apps & Data screen, tap Move Data from Android. This will generate a code on your iPhone screen, either a 6-digit or 10-digit code.
  5. Enter the Migration Code. Open the Move to iOS app on your Android device. Tap Continue and agree to the terms, then enter the code displayed on your iPhone into the Android interface.
  6. Select and Transfer Data. Select the content you wish to transfer, such as contacts, message history, camera photos, and Google account data. Tap Continue on the Android device and wait for the loading bar on the iPhone to finish.
