How to set up Find My on iPhone

Secure your device by enabling Find My on iPhone. Follow these steps to activate location tracking and offline finding for your Apple hardware.

  1. Open iCloud settings. Launch the Settings app from your Home Screen. Tap your name at the very top of the menu to access your Apple ID account details.
  2. Access Find My menu. Tap on the Find My icon located within your account settings. If you have not signed in, you will be prompted to enter your Apple ID credentials now.
  3. Toggle Find My iPhone. Tap Find My iPhone at the top of the screen. Slide the toggle to the On position so that it turns green.
  4. Find My network. Toggle the Find My network switch to the On position. This allows your device to be located even when it is offline or powered off by utilizing a secure mesh network.
  5. Send Last Location. Toggle the Send Last Location switch to the On position. Your iPhone will automatically transmit its location to Apple when the battery level reaches a critically low state.
