How to Reset Your Screen Time Passcode on iPhone

Regain access to your device restrictions. Follow these steps to reset your forgotten Screen Time passcode using your Apple ID credentials.

  1. Open Screen Time settings. Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap Screen Time.
  2. Initiate the reset process. Tap Change Screen Time Passcode. Select Change Screen Time Passcode again from the secondary menu, or select Turn Off Screen Time Passcode if you wish to remove it entirely.
  3. Access recovery options. When prompted for your current passcode, tap Forgot Passcode? located just above the numeric keypad. If this option does not appear, ensure your device is updated to the latest version of iOS.
  4. Verify your Apple ID. Enter the Apple ID and password used to set up the Screen Time passcode. Tap OK to authenticate your identity.
  5. Set a new passcode. Enter a new four-digit Screen Time passcode. Re-enter the same passcode when prompted to confirm the change.
