How to Customize and Organize Apple Wallet Passes

Learn to customize, organize, and manage your Apple Wallet passes for streamlined access on your iPhone. Step-by-step instructions included.

  1. Reorder your primary passes. Open the Wallet app and locate the pass you wish to move. Touch and hold the pass until it elevates slightly, then drag it to your desired position in the stack. Release the pass to set the new order.
  2. Adjust pass notifications. Tap the pass you want to modify to view its full details. Tap the ellipsis icon (three dots) in the top-right corner and select Pass Details. Toggle 'Suggest on Lock Screen' on or off based on whether you want the pass to appear automatically based on time or location.
  3. Enable automatic updates. Within the same Pass Details menu, ensure 'Automatic Updates' is toggled on. This allows the issuer to push changes to your pass, such as gate updates for boarding passes or balance changes for loyalty cards.
  4. Set the Lock Screen shortcut. Navigate to Settings > Control Center. Ensure 'Wallet' is added to your Included Controls. You can now access your Wallet quickly by swiping down from the top-right corner of your screen to open Control Center and tapping the Wallet icon.
  5. Remove expired passes. To delete a pass, tap the pass in the Wallet app, then tap the ellipsis icon. Select 'Pass Details' and scroll to the bottom. Tap 'Remove Pass' and confirm the action to clear it from your library.
