How to Change Default Browser and Email Apps on iPhone
Learn how to set third-party browsers and email clients as your default apps on iPhone to streamline your workflow and preferences.
- Confirm third-party app compatibility. Not all applications support default status. Ensure your preferred web browser or email client is installed and updated to its latest version via the App Store before attempting to set it as a default.
- Open the Settings application. Locate and tap the Settings app from your Home Screen or App Library. Scroll down until you see the list of installed third-party applications.
- Locate the target application. Find the specific browser or email app you wish to use as your default. Tap the name of the app to open its individual configuration menu.
- Set the default application. Tap either Default Browser App or Default Email App, depending on the application type. Select your preferred app from the list to assign it as the system-wide default.
