Master Keynote presentations on iPad. Learn to mirror your display, control slide transitions, and use presenter notes effectively for seamless delivery.
- Connect the external display. Plug your display adapter into the iPad USB-C port and connect the HDMI or VGA cable to your projector or monitor. If using AirPlay, open Control Center, tap the Screen Mirroring icon, and select your target device from the list.
- Open your presentation. Launch the Keynote app from your Home Screen. Locate and tap the file you intend to present to open it in the editor view.
- Verify presentation display settings. Tap the More icon (three dots) in the top toolbar. Select Presentation Display and ensure Mirror Display is disabled if you wish to use Presenter Display mode, which shows your upcoming slides and notes on the iPad screen.
- Start the slideshow. Select the first slide in the slide navigator sidebar. Tap the Play button located in the top-right toolbar to begin the presentation.
- Navigate slides and notes. Tap the screen or swipe left to advance to the next slide or build. To view your presenter notes, tap the screen once, then tap the note icon if you are not already in Presenter Display mode.
- End the presentation. To exit the slideshow at any time, perform a two-finger pinch gesture on the screen or tap the X icon in the top-left corner. Disconnect your adapter or stop the AirPlay stream once the presentation concludes.
