How to Hide Notifications on iPad Lock Screen
Stop sensitive alerts from appearing on your iPad lock screen. Follow these steps to configure Notification Center privacy settings for iPadOS.
- Open Notifications settings. Launch the Settings app from your Home Screen. Locate the Notifications tab in the left-hand sidebar and tap it to access your alert configurations.
- Access Show Previews options. At the top of the Notifications menu, tap the Show Previews button. This global setting determines if alert content is visible before unlocking your device.
- Set preview visibility to Never. Select Never from the list of options. This ensures that no app will display message content or notification details on the lock screen until you unlock the iPad.
- Adjust per-app privacy. Return to the Notifications menu and scroll down to the app list. Select a specific application if you wish to override the global setting for a single service, such as Messages or Mail.
- Lock and test your device. Press the top button to lock your iPad. Wake the display or trigger an alert to confirm that notification previews are now hidden behind the lock screen interface.
