How to Customize the iPad Control Center

Learn how to add, remove, and reorder controls in your iPad Control Center to streamline your workflow and access your favorite tools instantly.

  1. Open the Control Center settings. Open the Settings app from your Home Screen. Scroll down the left-hand sidebar and tap on Control Center to access the customization menu.
  2. Add new controls. Locate the 'More Controls' section at the bottom of the screen. Tap the green plus (+) icon next to any feature to immediately add it to your Control Center layout.
  3. Remove existing controls. Look at the 'Included Controls' list at the top. Tap the red minus (-) icon next to any control you wish to remove, then confirm your choice by tapping the Remove button that appears.
  4. Rearrange your layout. Press and hold the three-line drag handle icon located to the right of any control in the 'Included Controls' list. Drag the item to your preferred position and release to lock it into place.
  5. Test your changes. Swipe down from the top-right corner of your iPad screen to open the Control Center. Confirm that your additions, removals, and positioning reflect your recent adjustments in the settings menu.
