How to Reset Your Screen Time Passcode on iPad

Regain access to your iPad by resetting a forgotten Screen Time passcode using your Apple ID credentials. Follow these steps to bypass the restriction.

  1. Open Screen Time settings. Launch the Settings app from your Home Screen. Scroll down the left-hand sidebar and tap on the Screen Time option.
  2. Trigger the recovery prompt. Tap Change Screen Time Passcode. In the subsequent menu, select Change Screen Time Passcode again, then tap Forgot Passcode? located at the bottom of the numeric keypad.
  3. Enter Apple ID credentials. Input the Apple ID and password you originally used to set up the Screen Time passcode. If you do not remember these credentials, the passcode cannot be reset through this method.
  4. Create a new passcode. Once authenticated, you will be prompted to enter a new four-digit Screen Time passcode. Type your new code carefully, then re-enter it on the following screen to confirm the changes.
