How to Connect a Keyboard Case to iPad

Follow these steps to pair and connect your Bluetooth or Smart Connector keyboard case to your iPad for a seamless typing experience.

  1. Charge the keyboard. Connect your keyboard case to a power source using the provided charging cable. Ensure the internal battery reaches full capacity before attempting to pair to avoid connectivity drops.
  2. Secure the iPad into the case. Align the camera cutout on the back of the case with the rear camera module on your iPad. Press the iPad firmly into the casing to ensure all magnets or locking tabs engage correctly.
  3. Enable Bluetooth pairing mode. Locate the dedicated Bluetooth button on your keyboard case, usually marked with a symbol. Hold this button for three to five seconds until the status indicator light begins to blink, signaling discovery mode.
  4. Pair via iPad Settings. Open Settings, tap Bluetooth, and ensure the toggle is set to On. Locate your keyboard model in the Other Devices list and tap its name to establish the secure link.
  5. Confirm keyboard functionality. Open the Notes app and begin typing to verify hardware responsiveness. Navigate to Settings, General, and Keyboard to adjust key repeat rates or language layout preferences as needed.
