How to Use Pro Camera Controls on Android

Master professional-grade photography on Android. Learn how to manually adjust ISO, shutter speed, focus, and white balance for complete creative control.

1. Activate Pro mode in the camera interface. Open the Camera application on your device. Navigate to the mode selection ribbon or the More tab, then select Pro or Manual mode to unlock the advanced control sliders.
2. Configure ISO settings for light sensitivity. Tap the ISO icon. Select a low value, such as 50 or 100, for bright conditions to minimize image noise. Increase the value for low-light environments, keeping in mind that higher ISO settings introduce grain.
3. Access the S or Shutter Speed slider. Set a fast shutter speed, such as 1/500 or higher, to freeze motion. Select a slower shutter speed, such as 1/15 or lower, to capture light trails or artistic motion blur.
4. Set manual focus distance. Tap the MF icon to switch from Auto to Manual focus. Drag the slider to adjust the focal point until your subject appears sharp in the viewfinder. Utilize focus peaking indicators, if available, to verify sharpness.
5. Modify white balance for color temperature. Select the WB icon to adjust the color temperature in Kelvin. Slide toward the warmer end (higher K values) for sunset or indoor lighting, or toward the cooler end (lower K values) to neutralize artificial light casts.
6. Enable RAW format for post-processing. Navigate to the Camera settings menu within the app. Enable the RAW or DNG format toggle to ensure your images are captured without heavy compression or internal processing.
