How to Change the App Grid Layout on Android

Customize your Android home screen density by adjusting the app grid size. Follow these steps to change your layout settings in minutes.

  1. Open home screen settings. Locate an empty area on your home screen. Long-press on the background until the customization menu appears. Tap the Home settings icon.
  2. Select App grid. Within the Home settings menu, look for the App grid or Home screen grid option. Tap this entry to open the grid selection interface.
  3. Choose your grid dimensions. Select the preferred grid size from the provided options, such as 4x5, 5x5, or 6x5. The preview window will update to show how your icons will be distributed.
  4. Apply the new layout. Once you have selected your desired configuration, tap the Apply or Save button at the bottom of the screen. Return to your home screen to observe the changes.
