How to set up Find My Device on Android
Learn to configure Google Find My Device to track, lock, or erase your Android smartphone or tablet remotely in case of loss or theft.
- Access Google Settings. Open the Settings app on your Android device. Scroll down and tap on the Google menu item.
- Enable Find My Device. Select Find My Device from the list of services. Toggle the switch to On to activate the tracking feature.
- Configure offline finding. Tap Find your offline devices. Select 'With network in all areas' to allow your device to be located even when it is not connected to cellular or Wi-Fi networks.
- Enable Location Services. Navigate back to the main Settings menu and select Location. Ensure 'Use location' is toggled to On to allow real-time tracking.
- Test remote access. Visit android.com/find from a computer or secondary device. Log in with your primary Google account to confirm that your registered device appears on the map.
