How to set up a Samsung account on Galaxy devices

Follow this guide to create and configure a Samsung account on your Galaxy device for seamless cloud syncing, Find My Mobile, and device personalization.

  1. Open the device Settings. Unlock your Galaxy device and open the Settings app from your home screen or app drawer. You can also swipe down from the top of your screen and tap the gear icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Access Account settings. Tap the Samsung account banner located at the very top of the Settings menu. If no account is currently signed in, select Add account, then tap Samsung account.
  3. Create a new account. Select the Create account link at the bottom of the sign-in screen. Review the Terms and Conditions and tap Agree to proceed to the registration form.
  4. Enter your credentials. Input your email address to serve as your Samsung ID, create a secure password, and enter your first name, last name, and date of birth. Tap Create account once all required fields are filled.
  5. Verify your email address. Check the inbox of the email address used during registration for a verification link from Samsung. Open the message and tap Verify account to activate your credentials.
  6. Complete device setup. Return to your Galaxy device and tap Done on the verification screen. Follow the remaining on-screen prompts to enable Samsung Cloud sync, Find My Mobile, and personalized recommendations.
