How to Restore Apps on Android

Restore previously installed apps on your Android device using the Google Play Store library management tools. Quick, efficient, and complete.

  1. Open the Google Play Store. Locate and tap the Google Play Store icon on your home screen or within your app drawer. Ensure you are signed into the same Google account used to purchase or install the original apps.
  2. Navigate to manage apps. Tap your profile icon located in the top-right corner of the screen. Select Manage apps & device from the expanded menu options.
  3. Switch to the library view. Tap the Manage tab at the top of the screen. Tap the Installed dropdown menu and select Not installed to filter for apps that are currently missing from your device.
  4. Choose apps for restoration. Scroll through the list to identify the applications you wish to reinstall. Tap the checkbox next to each app name to add them to your installation queue.
  5. Execute the download. Tap the download icon located in the top-right corner of the toolbar. The Play Store will automatically begin downloading and installing the selected applications in the background.
