How to Change the Wallpaper on Android 15

Change your Android 15 wallpaper in seconds. Set a custom image, use built-in themes, or sync across lock and home screens.

  1. Open Settings and navigate to Wallpaper. On your Android 15 device, open the Settings app. Scroll down and tap Display. Look for Wallpaper or Wallpaper and style, then tap it to enter the wallpaper customization screen.
  2. Choose which screen to customize. You'll see options to set wallpaper for Home screen, Lock screen, or Both. Tap your preferred option. Setting Both applies the same wallpaper to both screens at once.
  3. Select your wallpaper source. Android 15 shows available wallpaper sources at the bottom of the screen. Tap Presets for built-in themes, Photos to choose from your gallery, Styles for AI-generated options based on your theme, or Scenic for curated landscape images.
  4. Preview your selected wallpaper. Once you select an image, Android 15 displays a preview on your device. Swipe or scroll to see how it looks on your screen. Check that the composition and colors match your preference before applying.
  5. Tap Set Wallpaper to apply changes. Tap the Set Wallpaper button at the bottom of the screen. Android 15 applies the wallpaper immediately. You'll return to the wallpaper settings screen where your new wallpaper is now active.
  6. Check both home and lock screens. Press the Home button to see your updated home screen wallpaper. Press the Power button and unlock your device to see the lock screen wallpaper. Both should reflect your selection.
