How to Rearrange Apps on Apple Watch

Organize your Apple Watch Home Screen by rearranging app icons into custom layouts or grid patterns. Follow this guide to optimize your navigation.

  1. Open the Home Screen. Press the Digital Crown once to transition from the Watch Face to the Home Screen. Ensure your apps are displayed in Grid View rather than List View to enable rearrangement.
  2. Enable edit mode. Press and hold your finger on any app icon until all icons begin to jiggle. This indicates the Home Screen is in edit mode, allowing for icon manipulation.
  3. Reposition your apps. Drag the app icon to your desired location within the grid. Release the icon to lock it into the new position.
  4. Save your arrangement. Press the Digital Crown once to exit edit mode. The icons will stop jiggling, and your new layout is now saved to the system.
  5. Rearrange via iPhone. Open the Watch app on your paired iPhone. Navigate to the My Watch tab, select App Layout, and drag icons to reorder them on the screen.
