How to Reset iPhone Home Screen Layout and Customization

Reset your iPhone Home Screen to its original factory layout. Follow these steps to clear custom icons, folders, and widgets safely.

  1. Open Settings. Unlock your iPhone and locate the Settings app on your Home Screen. Tap the gear icon to launch the main system configuration menu.
  2. Locate General settings. Scroll down the primary Settings menu until you reach General. Tap on it to open the system-wide management options.
  3. Select Transfer or Reset. Scroll to the bottom of the General menu. Tap on Transfer or Reset iPhone to view your data and layout recovery options.
  4. Tap the Reset option. Tap the Reset button located at the bottom of the screen. A pop-up menu will appear displaying multiple reset categories.
  5. Confirm Home Screen Layout reset. Select Reset Home Screen Layout from the list of options. When prompted, tap Reset Home Screen again to verify your choice.
